This month’s soap challenge hosted by Amy Warden at Great Cakes Soapworks is themed “Embrace the Opposites.”
Among the many ways to tho that, I chose to work with complementary colors as in terms of color theory “complementary” colors are found on the opposite sides of the color wheel and thus are also opposites. They are called “complementary” though because when used together they “complete” each other, making each other look brighter or better.
I chose a combination of orange, tangerine and Virginian cedarwood oils with a hint of eucalyptus for some coolness.
I am very grateful to Amy for her hard work which brings so many soapers from around the world together. There is so much inspiration – the theme, the creative works of all the participants! There is something to look forward to every next month 🙂
I think I could have done a better jod with the above soap if I had the ability to stretch the day and have two or three hours more every day. But as it happens, the time available for preparation and search for inspiration was limited and given the circumstances I am happy with this experience!
I wish you all good luck and a wonderful weekend!
