Spring is in the air! The mornings do not feel crispy ay more and there is a softness in the air which is a clear sign that spring is on its way.
After Amy Warden’s challenge in December, which was so much fun, I made one more soap using the column poor. While I used the same utensils (a small bottle for the column) and the same size mold (since I do not have others 🙂 ), I changed the colors to pink and purple. I was curious if I could achieve a pattern (almost) identical to my first trial. Here is the result.
It turned out though that I used too little pink (again!) and the base color became somewhat beige. Still, the pattern is almost the same as my previous column pour soap.
Yay! It is usually difficult for me (and guess for many other fellow soapers) to achieve the same design with swirls, so I was really pleased to find this technique which allows me to repeat the pattern again and again.
I am looking forward to the next soap challenge. I wonder what it is going to be?!
I wish you a beautiful day.
