The holidays are coming and I am very much looking forward to them. Work though, is busy. I wonder if it is only Japan that considers December the busiest month of the year.
The good thing though is that every morning on my way to work, I can enjoy the pretty flowers of Camellia sasanqa. Most of the days are sunny and the pink petals look so delicate in the morning sunshine! This is one of the reasons why I love living here – there are so many flowers in winter!
I love using cosmetic grade clays in soap. The particles are fine and it is easy to get soft, beautiful colors. For the soap which I made two months ago, I used French pink kaolin. As it was still warm here, the soap gelled and I got this soft off-white color in combination with the pink.
Like most of my soaps, this one contains camellia, avocado and rice bran oils. It is scented with ylang ylang and patchouli essential oils – a smell I cannot get enough of. Such a feminine scent!
I hope your preparations for the holidays are going well!
I wish you a warm and sunny day.
