Autumn. There is so much light in its colors!
They say that autumn is the season for reading, hiking, eating, sports and whatever else you can enjoy after the hot days of summer. What is it you do in autumn?
Autumn in my home country is bright with yellow which gradually changes to dark orange and then brown. I love the yellow leaves of the beech trees there – when you are in the woods, it feels as if the light is coming from the ground, from the fallen leaves. Here, the palette is richer and the excitement about the long-awaited cool days is everywhere. People go hiking, crowding the places famous for the autumn foliage. As a person who loves summer, I was not overly excited about autumn during my first year in the country. Yet, almost every year, I join the millions autumn-lovers to accessible and not-so-accessible places to feast my eyes on colors which only this season can offer.
Though winter is around the corner, it will take a little longer for it to snow here in Tokyo. And I am grateful for every warm day.
I wish you a good day.
